Landscaping

Hello my name is Ben Knowlton, and I own and operate Knowlton, Landscaping Inc.  I’m not just some guy that decided to get into landscaping one day: I was born into it.  As soon as I was tall enough, Dad made sure that I had a weed wacker in my hand.  As soon as I could shovel, I was shoveling.  Dad had me installing landscapes since I was 11.  When we had 2-a-day football practices, instead of sleeping between practices, Dad made sure I had plenty of hard work in the hot sun.  To be honest, it never really bothered me because I know that hard work is good for the soul.  That same mentality still permeates my company. Knowlton Landscaping is committed to quality, hard work, and integrity. 

Is landscaping your home, an important decision?  According to lawn and landscape magazine in the March 2009 issue, page 23.  It states ”In general, results of this study indicates a good landscape adds anywhere from 6 to 11% to the base value of the home, depending on its region.  The landscape attributes to contributed most to the increase in perceived home value were, in order: design sophistication, plant size and plant material type.  The minimalist landscapes, with small plant size and little sophistication detracted from the perceived value of the home.”  To put this simply, say your house is worth $100,000.  A good landscape could increase the value $6,000 to $11,000.  Is landscaping your home an important decision?  I would say it's definitely one worth looking into!

Here at Knowlton Landscaping, we take pride in our work.  That's sort of a lost art these days.  We do good work because we care about what we do, so as a result, we won't shortcut your job based on money.  We are known in the Blue Water Area for our great wors, so we have our reputation to uphold.

Too many times I have seen people put money into a landscape that took away value from their home.  It's like, what were they thinking?   Not landscape savvy, that's OK, at least you will admit it. Don't be like the guy down the street, call us and get a plan.  Once you have the plan, all you have to supply are the tools, sweat and the determination to create your own landscape that will look great and add value to your home
